Colleen Elizabeth Ford, 55, of Kailua-Kona died Feb. 17 at her residence. Born in Santa Monica, Calif., she was a merchandising operations manager for Macy’s Makalapua, a community service volunteer for Family Support Services of West Hawaii, Hawaii Island Food Bank and Relay for Life, and a golfer. Samuel Pua Puailihau, 73, of Hilo died Oct 22, 2015, at home. Born on Molokai, he retired as a longshoreman, also known as a stevedore, for ILWU Local 19 in Seattle. Private services held. Parley Ulpiano Keahi “Bear” Tajon, 69, of Pepeekeo died Feb. 5 at home. Born in Hakalau, he was a retired state Department of Transportation heavy equipment operator, 29-year employee of Hilo Coast Processing Co., worked numerous security positions and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Honomu Branch, and Koa Puna Motorcycle Club. Visitation 4-6 p.m. Friday (Feb. 26) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service at 6 p.m. Graveside dedicatory prayer and burial at 9 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 27) at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2.
